Three steps on the map
Open the Komoot planner
Plan or load a route on komoot.com exactly as you normally would. Komoot Weather only observes the page you already have open.
Toggle the overlay on
Switch weather on from the floating panel. The extension reads the route on screen and aligns the weather raster to it.
Pick a layer and time
Choose forecast or radar, select a product, and scrub the timeline to see what the weather does along your route.

Switch between a combined live radar view and a user-selected forecast product such as precipitation or temperature.
Route-aligned overlay
Weather imagery is re-anchored to each data source's bounds, so it lines up with Komoot's own map as you pan and zoom.
Collapsible in-page panel
A lightweight panel sits inside the planner, so you can toggle layers and collapse it out of the way when you're done.
Privacy-first by design
No automated or bulk access to Komoot — the extension only observes the page you have open, and no browsing history is collected.
