Komoot Weather ("the extension") is a free, unofficial browser extension that overlays weather nowcasts and forecasts on the Komoot web route planner. By installing, enabling, or using the extension you agree to this Disclaimer & Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the extension and uninstall it.

It is provided by Velosophic Life ("we", "our", or "us").

1. Unofficial and not affiliated with Komoot

The extension is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by Komoot or any of its affiliates. "Komoot" and related names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only to describe the site the extension is compatible with. Any use of these marks is for identification and compatibility purposes only and does not imply any relationship with the trademark owner.

2. Use at your own risk

You use the extension entirely at your own risk. It is provided free of charge, on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without any guarantee that it will work, that it will continue to work, or that it is suitable for any particular purpose. You are solely responsible for deciding whether and how to rely on anything the extension displays.

3. No warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the extension and its developers, maintainers, and operators disclaim all warranties and conditions, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the extension will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components, or that any data it displays is accurate, complete, or timely.

5. Weather data is informational only — not for safety-critical use

The extension displays weather nowcasts and forecasts for general informational purposes only. Such data may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, or unavailable, and weather can change faster than any forecast. Do not rely on the extension for safety-critical, emergency, aviation, marine, mountaineering, or navigation decisions, or for any situation where inaccurate information could lead to injury, death, or property damage. Always consult official weather and safety sources before and during any activity. You are responsible for your own safety and for the decisions you make while riding or navigating.

6. Third-party data and services

Weather and map data are supplied by third parties and by our own backend services. We do not control these sources and do not guarantee their accuracy, availability, or continued operation. Data sources, coverage, formats, or the extension's backend may change, fail, be rate-limited, or be discontinued at any time, with or without notice, and the extension may stop working as a result.

7. Your responsibilities, host-site terms, and changes to the host site

The extension interacts with a website owned and operated by a third party (Komoot). You are responsible for complying with that site's terms of service and with all applicable laws and regulations when using the extension. The host site may change its code, layout, or policies at any time, which may cause the extension to malfunction, and we are not responsible for any such breakage or for any action the host site takes in response to the extension, including suspending or terminating your account.

8. Privacy

The extension handles a limited amount of data as described in the Privacy Policy. By using the extension you acknowledge that policy.

9. Changes to this disclaimer

We may update this Disclaimer & Terms from time to time. When we do, we will increment the version above and, where required, ask you to acknowledge the new version before you can continue using the extension. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
